WE ALL CAN FIND WAYS TO PRESS FOWARD IMPORTANT CAUSES!

Just as Cindy was blogging during the Super Bowl as I was doing the same for turning prisoners into taxpaying contributors to their communities...

You can be an Esther or a Jacob too and you can start be clicking FOLLOWERS and publically showing your support for giving prisoners carpentry skills that they can earn their bread and steal it No Longer!
Cindy Brown sent us a message on Facebook..

As we Billy-Jacob & I his EstherStephanada seek funding to teach prisoners carpentry, we are mindful of those men & women who have chosen to put their lives on the line for our  sake that we as a nation will not be held captive by any evil force at home or abroad.

Please Support Our Troops!!

Our brave men and women in uniform are far from home sacrificing so much to keep us safe and free. They can't see our flags flying or our 'Support Our Troops' magnets on our cars but they can see and touch a letter, card or package. You can request free of charge addresses for Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, Airmen and/or Coast Guardsmen from the http://www.facebook.com/l/f0637;AnySoldier.com website created by the Horn Family (Military Family). All it takes is a regular stamp to send a letter or card with some encouraging words to the troops in harm's way. It takes at least 10 days for a letter or package to reach the war zone. After clicking "Where to Send" in the menu bar, you can click on "Search Tool" and type any word or words, for example, the name of your state, your favorite college or sports team, pen pals, letters from children, letters from schools, drawings, hospital, Chaplain, your family name, socks etc. If a unit has these words in their posting, their page will come up and your words will be in red. A lot of them send pictures along with their emails. Please tell any school teacher you know, any organization, churches, businesses, companies… anyone. Feel free to make copies of this flyer and give them out to anyone, email it to everyone. They are mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, friends and someone's loved one who volunteer to protect us. They're sacrificing so much for us. So many of them will miss the birth of their child, birthdays, first steps and watching their children play sports. They will be so far from home for so many holidays. Think of the things we take for granted, like taking a hot shower! They use a lot of unscented baby wipes! When they get a letter from "home", it really lifts their spirits. You'd be surprised how many don't have families to write to them. You can purchase care packages from http://www.facebook.com/l/f0637;TreatAnySoldier.com on this website or you can send your own package. Your local post office has free Flat Rate Boxes, custom forms and labels. No matter how heavy your box is, it's a flat rate of $10.95. There are two sizes for this price. There is another one for $4.95 that we use to send a newspaper and CD or DVD. There is a 12 X 12 size priority box that cost around $12 or $13. They are all "Priority Mail". You have to be careful when sending anything liquid. Be sure to tape the cap to the bottle and put it in a Ziploc bag to prevent it from leaking. I try to put everything I can in a Ziploc bag so the smells and tastes of things don't transfer. It's best not to mix soaps and food in your package during the summer months. Because of security, please do not send them "homemade goodies" or pork products (Muslim Countries). When writing to the troops, address the envelope or box exactly like the address of the contact person is emailed to you. But it's best to start your letter with a "generic greeting" like Hello Brave Soldier or Dear Brave Marine. A lot of times the contact person will give your letter to a "Battle Buddy" that hasn't gotten any mail from home. This way, anyone who gets your letter or card will feel like it was written to him/her. I usually put a self-addressed envelope in my package (no stamp required for them to send letters back to the states) and/or print my email address on my letter. But please, don't be disappointed if you don't hear back from them. They are in a war zone, just trying to stay alive and in one piece and get back to The United States of America, "Home of the Free because of the Brave"! They need our support all year around. This website is a work of deep love and support for our military forces. It is not political.
